The Manufacturing Process of Stainless Tube

Stainless steel is being used for many industrial applications. These are some of the most used metal pieces in the industrial sector.  From transferring fluid to transporting different industrial materials, all these things are getting much emphasized with the help of these steel tubes. The shape of a stainless steel tube can be rounded or rectangular. However, round pipes are being used mostly in industries for transferring fluid. There are mainly two factors are making these pipes more important. The external part of the pipes is responsible for strength and the internal part of the tubes is responsible for carrying out fluids.

There are mainly two types of tubes are available in the market. One is seamless and another one is welded. Seamless pipes are made with melting steel and there is no need to weld but welded pipes need welding for different purposes.

Seamless pipes- Preliminarily, these tubes were used in both domestic and industrial sectors. The steel the cast with an ingot or cast repeatedly as a bloom. Then they rolled in a billet that latter becomes a tube that is being drawn just after piercing tool with the help of two external rollers. Inconel 625 tubing will meet your industrial needs. These two rollers are creating an angle to each other and later it helps to move the billet. This is the exact point where the rough tube is formed. After the formation, it will be put into elongator and with the help of three rollers and an internal mandrel, the tube is given a final outside diameter and wall thickness.

Welded pipes- Welded pipes are known for their welding surface.  This kind of tubes are made out of the hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel those poured in the tubing manufacturer in coils. While required the coil may be processed to remove unwanted scale and improve the finish. After this process is done, the coil will be passed through grooved rollers till the shape is come out and the free edges are properly shaped for welding. The external and in some cases the internal welding residue are removed after the edges of the tube are perfectly welded together. After finishing all these procedures, the tube has to go through two semicircular rollers that help to bring the tube to its final required dimension.

High quality steel will come out with precise pipes and they will meet the requirement of the industries. This is the main reason for which you should thoroughly research before making your final decision.
